Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in language transcription.
• Qualifying scores ILR 3 minimum or equivalent in language tests.
• Must have lived three of the last five years in the U.S.
• Experience working with a law enforcement or legal department.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Fluency in English and foreign language with knowledge of colloquial slang.
• Ability to translate accurately without changes in meaning.
• Proficient in keeping the tone and register of source materials.

Responsibilities

• Support the DOJ with various Linguistic Support Services.
• Translate, transcribe, and interpret sensitive legal documents.
• Use CAT tools to maintain translation quality.
