Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a highly capable Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment, with a potential end date of 9 October 2026. The role can be remote from anywhere in the United States, or in-office in specified cities, with overtime as needed.

The position handles high‑complexity indemnity claims across CT, DC, DE, MD and VT, under contingent employment terms. The base salary ranges depend on location and will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Five years of workers’ compensation adjudication experience in CT, DC, DE, MD or VT.
• Bachelor’s degree; two or more insurance designations or four years additional related experience may substitute for a degree.
• License required in CT, DE, & VT.
• Strong business acumen and customer focus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office and fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high‑technical workers’ compensation claims with significant limits and authority.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, interviewing involved parties.
• Report trends and developments to senior management and underwriters.
• Manage diaries and ensure timely resolution and best financial outcome.
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation for file review and settlements.
• Coordinate specialist resources to aid case resolution.
