Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist for a remote position. You will handle low-complexity claims under supervision, validate coverage, establish reserves, and communicate updates to clients and claimants.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, have at least 1 year in claims and maintain a WC license or certification. This role supports the claims team and ensures adherence to guidelines across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in claims management preferred.
• Current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Receives Workers’ Compensation claims, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgment of the claim.
• Establishes reserves and authorizes payments within reserving authority limits.
• Communicates claim status with the customer, claimant and client.
• Assists other claims professionals with more complex claims as necessary.
• Adheres to client and carrier guidelines and participates in claims reviews as needed.
