Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist I for its Northeast region. The role offers a hybrid work schedule from Parsippany or Boston offices, or a fully remote setup based in select states.

You will handle multi-party commercial line claims with low to moderate exposure, ensuring efficient, customer-centric service. Responsibilities include documenting claims, determining liability and coverage, developing case strategy, reserving, and negotiating settlements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with claims/insurance experience.
• Ability to obtain adjuster licenses.
• Proficient in MS Office and insurance regulations.
• Experience with NY jurisdiction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document claims files accurately and update data per best practices.
• Analyze facts to determine liability and coverage.
• Determine policy verification and coverage applicability.
• Develop case strategy and escalation when needed.
• Estimate reserves and review claims throughout cycle.
• Calculate damages and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Maintain quality standards and follow best practices.
