Job summary

Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is seeking a remote Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for Southeast jurisdictions. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims from home, handling statements, lost wages, forms, denial, subrogation, and litigation as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year WC adjuster experience, licenses in Southeast states, sharp communication and negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of WC laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
• License/state experience in the Southeast states.
• Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims.
• Take statements, pay lost wage benefits, file state forms, deny claims, subrogation, and litigation when needed.
• Communicate with claimants, providers offices, attorneys, and executives.
• Handle claims across multiple southeast jurisdictions.
