Job summary

KellyMitchell Group is seeking a Project Manager – Workday & Payroll Transformation for a 6-month, remote contract in the U.S. You will lead Workday, HRIS, and Payroll transformation initiatives, coordinating with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, IT, and vendors to deliver project milestones.

Responsibilities include managing scope, timelines, budgets and resources; overseeing testing, data migration, integrations, payroll readiness and deployment planning; establishing RAID

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Workday implementations.
• Experience managing Payroll system implementations or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with Workday Payroll, HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, Recruiting, or similar modules.
• Experience participating in multiple HRIS deployments, upgrades, or system migrations.
• Experience managing large, cross-functional projects in matrixed organizations.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing project plans, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Strong experience facilitating governance meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive-level reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Lead Workday, HRIS, and Payroll implementation, enhancement, and optimization projects.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and external vendors to execute project deliverables.
• Oversee testing, data migration, integrations, payroll readiness, deployment planning, and post-go-live support.
• Establish and maintain RAID processes while proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Facilitate governance activities, steering committee meetings, status reviews, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Support stakeholder engagement, change management, user adoption, training, business readiness, and vendor management.
