Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Field Specialist - Uptower Repair to maintain and repair wind turbines across the United States. You will perform large component replacements, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and oversee contractor work while documenting everything in service reports.

The role requires travel up to 90% domestically and internationally, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing towers up to 300 feet in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED.
• 1+ year as a Wind Turbine Technician or related degree in electrical/mechanical/renewable energy.
• 2+ years of related electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, or renewable energy experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines, including large component replacement.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch/variable speed turbines.
• Coordinate with field engineers, lead technicians, and contractors to complete jobs safely and on schedule.
• Document work using computer-based service reporting and communicate site status to stakeholders.
