GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Travelling Wind Farm Service Technician to provide on-site technical leadership and rapid troubleshooting across the national fleet. You will support site management, internal engineering, and clients to maximise turbine availability and fleet optimization.

The role requires extensive travel (>65% annually), HV switching experience, and the ability to work remotely across diverse wind farm sites while complying with EHS/QA policies.

Formación

• Must hold a Registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade) or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience in onshore wind or similar heavy industry.
• Nominated Electrical Supervisor and Nominated Qualified Supervisor for the company.
• Understanding AC/DC circuits and ability to TS and analyze circuits (various voltages).
• Experience in High Voltage switching and operations.
• Current High Voltage operating certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Proficient in fault finding of electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Physically capable of climbing wind turbines and performing tasks at height.
• Experience working remotely and ability to travel >65% of year.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret the requirements of GEV manuals, specifications, bulletins and complete assigned tasks in accordance with GEV work instructions.
• Perform and ensure proper maintenance and fault finding of assets.
• Act as the site HVOA Delegate when required.
• Nominated as the High Voltage operating Authority delegate for the site when required.
• Perform high voltage switching operations according to site procedures as required.
• Have a working knowledge of electrical installation requirements.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with SWMS, LOTO, EHS & QA/QC policies/procedures.
• Drive a positive reporting culture by identifying errors, violations, incidents or problems immediately.
• Maintain a working knowledge of REC responsibilities.
• Supervise electrical installation/maintenance work when required.
• Maintain reports using GEV software management tools and databases.
• Report errors and issues using GEV systems.
• Submit enquiries to Engineering to ensure technical issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with Management, Engineering, Sourcing and Service Teams as required.
• Uphold Quality Control by conformance decisions.
• Be on-call for weekends and nights as directed by management.
• Champion Safety by following EHS policies and assisting with audits.
