Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Wind Technician to support turbine operations at the wind site. The role requires local travel within the hub, working daily on electrical and mechanical components, quality control, and warranty repairs.

You will collaborate with the Site Lead and Manager to meet contract requirements and timelines while upholding GE’s excellence. The position emphasizes safety, diagnostic work, and timely documentation using remote operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ year wind tech experience or wind certificate/associates in energy
• 2 years electrical work experience and passing a technical knowledge assessment
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet
• Willingness to work in industrial and power facilities; rotate shifts and on-call

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines
• Document work using service reporting procedures
• Coordinate with Site Lead and Manager to meet customer requirements and timelines
