Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex Command Center deployments for public safety agencies. You will direct program teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with senior stakeholders to align with sales strategy and client needs.

The role requires 5+ years in Public Safety project management, strong leadership and communications skills, and the ability to obtain a government background clearance. This remote role is US-based, travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, IT, Management, or Technology.
• 5+ years of Public Safety and Project Management experience managing complex deployments for government agencies.
• Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.

Responsibilities

• Leads large programs or portions of very complex programs up to $10M.
• Directs and coordinates the work activities of project teams.
• People management experience a must; may oversee other PMs or technical staff.
• Capable of managing/supervising other disciplines/technology within a project.
• Communicates with key customer stakeholders.
• Can comprehend and participate with sales on project strategy to increase revenue.
• Conducts needs assessments and requirements gathering.
• Defines and develops scope, objectives, plans, budgets and metrics for large projects.
• Manages projects from inception to completion; tracks performance.
• Responsible for adherence to plan, quality metrics and budgets.
• Recommends corrective actions and implements changes.
• Identifies and mitigates risks; develops risk mitigation plans.
• Audits internal/external resources and allocates staff as needed.
• Acts as primary interface to internal teams; manages vendor relationships.
• Delivers direct communication to senior stakeholders.
• Leads negotiations with clients and supports proposals and SOWs.
• Identifies enhancements and process improvements; conducts reviews.
• Creates a motivated team environment with cross-functional support.
• Gathers lessons learned and applies best-practice methodologies.
