Job summary

PackGene Biotech, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales of its gene therapy services from a remote Bay Area-based arrangement. You will leverage your network to expand the customer base across Industrial, Academic, and Government sectors.

You will work with cross-functional teams to craft profitable initiatives, manage pipelines, and meet quarterly revenue goals while traveling extensively (40%+). This role requires a strong science background and proven sales experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in life sciences.
• 1–5 years of relevant sales experience with technical acumen.
• Knowledge of the Biological CRO/CDMO market is preferred.
• Ability to manage sales pipelines and weekly forecasts.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
• Action-oriented, independent, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel and work across regions.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business across Industrial, Academic, Government sectors.
• Manage sales pipelines and forecast weekly within territory.
• Understand customers' research applications and align PackGene’s services.
• Share market intel with Tech Support and Marketing through weekly reports.
• Conduct customer visits and attend conferences to build relationships.
• Drive business expansion with technical and project management teams.
• Build a reference network to develop opportunities.
• Lead webinars and innovation meetings.
• Collaborate across regions and functions to meet quotas.
• Identify market trends and develop actionable strategies.
