Job summary

Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) is seeking a seasoned IBM WebSphere Administrator for a remote 18-month engagement. The role targets middleware support for critical apps with WebSphere ND/Liberty, HTTP, Java, and security configurations.

You'll design and implement automation with Ansible, Python, and GitLab CI/CD, collaborating with DevOps teams and contributing to DR and performance tuning. Strong UNIX scripting and Oracle/SQL connectivity are valued.

Qualifications

• Provide middleware IBM WebSphere System Administration support for critical applications.
• Seasoned WebSphere Administrator with advanced HTTP, Java and plugin knowledge (8.5.5/9 ND).
• Experience with WebSphere Liberty; more is a plus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, installations, failover, DR, security configuration and performance tuning.
• Strong UNIX scripting and automation skills; Python/Jython and Ansible preferred.
• Familiarity with MQ, database connectivity (Oracle/SQL) and CI/CD tooling (GitLab).

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware IBM WebSphere System Administration support for critical applications.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation using Ansible and Python/Jython.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities
• Document automation processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members; conduct code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in automated systems.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
