Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking a WebSphere Application Server Administrator for remote work in Dayton, NJ. This long-term contract role requires strong WebSphere expertise, UNIX scripting, and automation experience to support critical applications.

You will design and implement automation with Ansible, Python, and Shell, and collaborate across teams to improve systems and security. Prior experience with WebSphere Liberty and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Provide middleware WebSphere System Administration for critical apps.
• Advanced knowledge of HTTP, App Server, Java and Plugin components (8.5.5 and 9 ND).
• Experience with WebSphere Liberty is a plus.
• Strong UNIX and scripting skills (Shell, Python/Jython).
• Ansible automation, CI/CD-GitLab experience preferred; AWS/Terraform a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware IBM WebSphere administration for critical applications.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation with Ansible, Python, Shell.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Document automation processes and best practices.
• Share knowledge with client resources and assist with in-house expertise growth.
• Mentor team members and conduct code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in automated systems.
• Continue to improve automation frameworks for scalability and maintainability.
