Job Description

Position: WebSphere Administrator

Location: Georgetown, KY

Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Have 6+ years’ experience working with WebSphere and WebLogic application servers, including portal deployments, creation, and configuration of portal schemas.
• Perform technical documentation, deployment, and rollback procedures; collaborate with customers on WebLogic installations and troubleshooting; conduct performance testing and issue resolution.
• Install, configure, and administer WebSphere Application Server.
• Install, configure, and administer IBM HTTP Server.
• Configure Virtual Hosts.
• Set up SSL on IHS, OHS, and Apache web servers.
• Configure WebSphere portlets.
• Understand JMS configuration.
• Deploy applications and troubleshoot encountered issues.
• Upgrade/migrate WebSphere Portal from v6.x to 7.x/8.x.
• Understand WebSphere node/cluster communication.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support.
• Handle WebSphere error troubleshooting.
