Job summary
Chimes seeks a Web Developer to design, build, and deploy web solutions that support mission-critical work. This remote USA role requires evolving websites with security, accessibility, and performance in mind.
You will translate business needs into technical specs, document changes, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust applications. Ideal candidates have a BS in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in CMS, databases, and modern web frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of directly related technical experience.
- Experience documenting technical requirements, configurations, tests, changes, and results.
- Experience in government, regulated, or security-conscious environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, update, and maintain websites and web applications.
- Translate user needs into technical requirements and data models.
- Write, review, and test code for validity, accessibility, security, and compatibility.
- Identify performance improvements and monitor server and DB performance.
- Implement web security measures and maintain backups and recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with management, designers, users, and hosting providers to prioritize work.
