Job summary

Citi in Telecommuter California seeks a Business Development Lead Officer to build trusted relationships with bank assessment areas and promote opportunities to meet and exceed goals.

The role involves planning, research, and developing strategic plans for high-priority prospects, coordinating market research, and presenting meetings with clients. Mortgage loan originator licensing is required; compliance and ethics are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years relevant experience.
• Previous banking experience preferred.
• Exceptional consulting and presentation skills; ability to probe and listen.
• Must register as Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.

Responsibilities

• Proactively build trusted relationships within bank assessment areas to meet and exceed goals.
• Facilitate financial education, seminars and outreach to generate business.
• Provide technical training on lending programs to external and internal partners.
• Manage relationships with external clients to increase lending penetration.
• Support strategic planning for business development and respond to opportunities.
• Perform deep dive research on new business prospects (company research, financial analysis, history).
• Assemble business plans for high priority prospects and track progress.
• Coordinate market research requests, including data analytics and mystery shopping.
• Prepare prospect meeting presentations and manage the deck production.
• Monitor prospect database and create monthly retailer performance dashboards.
• Assist cross-division coordination for new business opportunities.
• Schedule deal meetings and manage calendars for external activities.
• Develop product-specific business plans with defined loan goals.
• Assess risk and uphold compliance with laws, policies and ethics.
