Job summary

Citi in Vernon Hills, IL, seeks an entry‑level Mortgage Community Lending Officer to drive mortgage sales and client relationships with community clients, real estate agents, and nonprofit partners. You will originate high‑quality residential loans in coordination with the Consumer Product Sales team.

Responsibilities include advising clients, collecting financial data, analyzing risk, and promoting Citi lending services to referral sources.

Qualifications

• Residential mortgage experience required.
• 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required.
• Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situations and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze income, assets, debts, credit, and goals.
• Assess qualification for lending solutions and present options.
• Promote Citi services to clients and referral partners.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices and network with real estate agents.
• Coordinate with Operations, Processors, and Underwriters to close loans.
• Manage risk and comply with laws, policies, and ethics.
