Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. You will help design and maintain production systems, deploy large-scale servers and applications, and automate infrastructure tasks across Linux and virtualized environments.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS (or equivalent), plus hands-on experience with OpenStack, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting. US citizens or GC holders preferred; remote-friendly with nationwide teams.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or green card holder status.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies at scale (Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on OpenStack administration in production.
• Experience managing VMware vCenter/ESXi at scale (HA, DRS, vMotion).
• Networking knowledge (L2/L3, VLANs, BGP, DHCP).
• Configuration management with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience documenting technical work.
• Proven use of AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex technical systems architecture for production environments.
• Manage and support large-scale deployments of servers and applications in internal data centers.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of servers and VMs.
• Develop scripts and automation tools (Python, Go, PowerShell).
• Troubleshoot server hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation with incident management and post-mortems.
