Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking an Energy Auditor - Virtual to conduct remote energy assessments for utility customers and provide actionable recommendations. You will guide customers through rebates, install guidance for energy-saving devices, and deliver clear audit reports.

Requires an associate degree or equivalent, 2 years related experience, and comfort working in a fast-paced virtual environment; field work may occur occasionally.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years of related work experience.
• 1–2 years in marketing, community organizing, education, or customer service; virtual experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review data pre-appointments to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Deliver virtual energy audits via phone, text, or video.
• Engage customers virtually to discuss energy usage and build rapport.
• Conduct virtual walk-throughs identifying gas/electric savings opportunities.
• Educate end users on energy efficiency and rebates.
• Explain audit findings and rebate options to building owners.
• Instruct on installing energy-saving devices such as lighting and thermostats.
• Prepare audit reports with results and recommendations.
• Suggest improvements to program operations and delivery.
• Maintain paperwork and follow safety rules; assist field work when needed.
