Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) is seeking a Military/Veteran Peer Support Specialist III for the Military Services within UBHC. Under supervision, provides person-centered, culturally competent services to individuals who contact the Call Center, handling requests via telephone, chat, and text and offering peer support and referrals.

Key duties include engaging individuals in an empathic manner, delivering direct care, reviewing referrals, and documenting interactions in line

Formación

• Demonstrated ability to use a computer to record services and other basic office functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Provides "customer friendly" services, taking initiative in engaging individuals served in an empathic and concerned manner.
• Provides direct care services consistent with philosophy of UBHC.
• Reviews service requests/referrals for all populations, and responds in accordance with prescribed departmental procedures.
• Documents contacts, interventions, and interactions with callers in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies.
• Maintains knowledge of Center and Unit policies and procedures.
• Contributes to and supports the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of UBHC.
