Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a USPS customer service specialist to review postal questions, create rubrics, and guide answers on mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, changes of address, and customs forms. You will evaluate AI responses against rubrics and provide clear feedback to the project team.

Ideal candidates have USPS frontline experience, in-person counter service knowledge, and familiarity with international mail documentation.

Qualifications

• Current, former, or retired USPS frontline experience.
• Experience helping customers in person at a post office counter.
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address.
• Clear, precise writing skills.
• Experience with international mail and customs documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review sample postal questions and flag any that don t sound like what real customers ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels.
• Cover package tracking, missing or damaged mail, change of address and mail forwarding, and international mailing and customs forms.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
