Job summary

Zekai is seeking Postal Clerks for a 100% remote contractor role. You will evaluate AI responses on postal topics using real-world USPS experience to ensure accuracy and usefulness. No AI background needed; domain knowledge matters and quick start is valued.

You will write rubrics covering mail classes, shipping options, postage, and labels, and provide structured feedback to the project team asynchronously.

Qualifications

• USPS frontline experience (postal clerk, sales & service associate, or retail associate).
• 1+ years helping customers in person at a post office counter.
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address.

• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels.
• Cover package tracking, missing or damaged mail, change of address and mail forwarding, and international mailing and customs forms in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Time Commitment: 15-25 hours/week, short-term project

our partner is looking for Postal Clerks to help evaluate and improve AI systems on postal service topics. You’ll use your front-counter experience to check that questions sound like real customers and that answers are correct and useful. Accuracy comes first. No AI experience is needed; your domain knowledge is what matters.

Required Qualifications

• Current, former, or retired USPS frontline experience (postal clerk, sales and service associate, or retail associate)
• 1+ years helping customers in person at a post office counter
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address
• US-based
• Able to start quickly and commit 15-25 hours/week
• Clear, precise writing

Not a fit: Mail carrier, mail processing, or private shipping store experience alone

Nice to Have

• Experience with international mail and customs documentation
• Experience handling missing or damaged mail claims
• Experience creating guides, FAQs, or training materials
• Experience helping a diverse range of customers, including rural and non-English-speaking communities
