Job summary

micro1 is seeking Postal Clerks to help evaluate and improve AI systems on postal service topics. You’ll use your front-counter experience to check that questions sound like real customers and that answers are correct and useful.

Accuracy comes first, and no AI experience is required. Responsibilities include writing rubrics for mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels, and covering tracking, missing or damaged mail, address changes, and international forms.

Qualifications

• USPS frontline experience and knowledge of mail services.
• 1+ year helping customers in person at a post office counter.
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking and address changes.

• Share clear written feedback with the project team asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Review sample postal questions and flag any that don’t sound like what real customers ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on mail classes, shipping options, postage, fees, and shipping labels.
• Cover package tracking, missing or damaged mail, change of address and mail forwarding, and international mailing and customs forms in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Requirements

• Current, former, or retired USPS frontline experience (postal clerk, sales and service associate, or retail associate)
• 1+ years helping customers in person at a post office counter
• Working knowledge of mail classes, shipping options, postage, tracking, and change of address
• US-based
• Able to start quickly and commit 15-25 hours/week
• Clear, precise writing
• Not a fit: Mail carrier, mail processing, or private shipping store experience alone

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international mail and customs documentation
• Experience handling missing or damaged mail claims
• Experience creating guides, FAQs, or training materials
• Experience helping a diverse range of customers, including rural and non-English-speaking communities
