Common App, a leading nonprofit college admissions platform, seeks a Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a group of developers across web and mobile products. You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of high-quality software that serves the Common App community.

You will shape architecture, promote best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on frontend, backend, and cloud initiatives, including CI/CD and AWS stewardship, while advancing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
8-10 years of progressive experience in software development.
6-8 years of experience as people manager.
Willing to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.
Candidates must live in the United States.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and mentor a team of Software Developers.
Design and develop web-based and mobile software products.
Define architecture and guide frontend/ backend implementation.
Improve CI/CD and cloud architecture.
