Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care Remote Supervising Physician is sought to provide clinical oversight and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) from a fully remote location while residing in South Carolina.

You will participate in supervision, case reviews, and ongoing quality improvement activities to maintain high standards of urgent care delivery across Prisma Health Urgent Care centers.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to APPs in accordance with laws and Prisma Health Urgent Care policies.
• Cosign APP documentation when required by law or policy.
• Provide clinical guidance and review cases requiring physician involvement, including high-risk findings and abnormal vital signs.
• Support APP practice within the provider’s scope of practice and prescriptive authority.
