Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care is seeking a Remote Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The physician will be assigned a supervising relationship with SC Medical Board oversight and perform duties from a remote location while residing in South Carolina.

Responsibilities include clinical guidance, review of APP cases, and escalation when needed, plus supporting orientation and ongoing supervision across Prisma Health

Qualifications

• Must physically reside in the state of South Carolina.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible and licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by Prisma Health Urgent Care / WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and support to APPs.
• Review and cosign APP documentation when required by law or policy.
• Provide clinical direction and escalation as needed.
• Support APP practice within scope of supervision and prescriptive authority.
• Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities.
