Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Unified Communications Technician to manage and support voice, messaging, fax and collaboration platforms. You will install, configure, and maintain UC hardware and software, including Avaya VoIP and Teams Voice, while coordinating with IT and external partners.

Responsibilities include end-user support, incident resolution, and participation in large equipment moves. A strong foundation in IT support and mobile device management is required, with on-call duties as

Qualifications

Requires HS Diploma or GED with 2+ years IT experience.
Bachelor’s Degree plus 1+ year IT experience preferred.
1+ years of end-user support experience (PCs, mobility devices, telephony) preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain UC hardware and software systems (e.g., Avaya VoIP, voicemail).
Troubleshoot telephony platforms and coordinate with service providers.
Support mobile devices (iOS, iPadOS, Android) including deployment configurations.
Ensure UC systems integrate with broader IT infrastructure.
Provide end-user support and update tickets per procedures.
Participate in new equipment installations and large move projects.
Provide on-call support for UC environment on rotating shifts.
