Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a healthcare client to recruit an Underpayment Analyst for a fully remote role in the United States. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and work with insurers to secure accurate reimbursements, guided by payer policies and reimbursement guidelines.

A structured 90-day onboarding program supports your ramp-up and success. Qualifications include strong analytical skills, familiarity with Epic/Cerner/Meditech, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS regulations.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and reviewer policy applications.
• Contact insurers to obtain missing information and coordinate payment processing.
• Prepare documentation to support recovery efforts and maintain records.
• Apply payer guidelines to support accurate claim assessments and recovery actions.
