Jobgether, acting on behalf of a partner, seeks an Underpayment Analyst based in the United States for a remote role. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and support revenue integrity for healthcare clients.

You'll work with payers and internal teams, document findings, and participate in a 90-business-day training program to accelerate success. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and payer policies are valued.

Qualifications

• Understand healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze hospital claims using established procedures and tools to identify discrepancies in reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by examining coding and billing discrepancies.
• Contact insurance carriers to obtain missing information and clarify payment decisions.
• Prepare and submit documentation to support recovery efforts.
• Maintain records of investigations, outcomes, and trends for audit readiness.
• Apply payer guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) to claim assessments.
