Jobgether is seeking an Underpayment Analyst for a remote role in the United States. You will analyze hospital claims, identify underpayments, and collaborate with carriers and stakeholders to recover appropriate reimbursements.

Ideal candidates have strong investigative and analytical skills, experience with healthcare billing, and familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines. A 90-day training program is provided and work is fully remote.

Formación

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial policies.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and CMS regulations.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze hospital claims to identify discrepancies between expected and actual reimbursements.
• Investigate underpayments and variances by checking coding and policy applications.
• Contact carriers to obtain missing information and resolve underpayments.
• Prepare supporting documentation for recovery actions (letters, emails, faxes, inquiries).
• Maintain records of investigations, root causes, and lessons learned.
• Apply payer guidelines (Medicare/Medicaid/commercial) to support accurate assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to resolve complex issues.
• Participate in meetings, share ideas to improve workflows and recovery strategies.
• Uphold HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations in all activities.
