You will work with the Consulting practice to support client needs, develop updated accounting procedures, and occasionally travel to client sites or training events. The position requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s in Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Tribal governments or nonprofit/governmental sectors.
• Experience with grants management, government accounting standards, or accounts payable is preferred.
• Strong communication and client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly closing and financial reporting for Tribal governments.
• Coordinates grants management, grant reporting, and audit preparation.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to improve processes and update policies.
• Performs project startup activities and adheres to schedules.
• Coordinates with clients during the audit process.
• Assists with growing the practice and reviews team work for accuracy.
• Travels to client locations as needed (10–15%).
