Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to join its Tribal government accounting practice. You will deliver ongoing accounting services, grants management, and financial reporting to clients, helping ensure accuracy and timely insights for decision makers.

The role involves developing policies, collaborating across functions, coordinating audits, reviewing work for quality, and occasional travel to client sites or trainings as part of Baker Tilly's Business Consulting Services team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in not-for-profit and/or governmental settings.
• Experience with grants management and government accounting standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client service oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and government accounting software.

Responsabilités

• Performs accounting and consulting services for Tribal governments including monthly closing and grants management.
• Prepares polished deliverables and ensures timely client submissions.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to improve processes and update policies.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and supports audit readiness.
• Assists with growing the practice and reviews work for quality.
• Travel to client locations or trainings as needed.
