Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with non-profit/government experience preferred.
• Experience in grants management, financial accounting, and governmental accounting standards implementation is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and commitment to client service.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing, grants management, grant reporting, and financial reporting to key decision makers.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients and ensures timely delivery.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand current practices and helps define new processes and updated policies.
• Performs project start-up activities, adheres to schedules, and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and helps prepare for audits.
• Helps grow the practice and reviews the work of team members for accuracy.
• Serves as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or industry conferences.
