Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site project coordination for large-scale engineered bus duct installation across North America. This remote role requires up to 75% overnight travel, with extended stays at customer sites and coordination with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field project leadership, can read drawings, manage documentation, and use scheduling tools

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating schedule, subcontractors, and customer communication.
• Ability to read construction drawings and project documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and timekeeping processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site representative for large-scale bus duct installation projects and support other field service work across North America.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, field technicians, project managers, and internal teams.
• Lead site coordination and customer progress meetings with ongoing schedule, risk, and issue updates.
• Monitor schedules, staffing, equipment, material readiness, and project progress.
• Review drawings and scope documentation to support delivery and customer experience.
• Make field decisions balancing safety, schedule, customer commitments, and costs.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping records, and status updates while maintaining project records.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on all sites.
