Job summary

nVent is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead on-site project coordination for bus duct systems across North America. This role involves extensive overnight travel and coordination with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects run safely and on schedule.

Candidates should have 3+ years of field project experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to read construction drawings. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading or coordinating field-based project activities at customer sites.
• Experience coordinating schedules, subcontractors, progress reporting and customer communications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site representative for large-scale bus duct system installations and field projects across North America.
• Coordinate daily project activities with customers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Lead site coordination and customer progress meetings with schedules, risks, and issues.
• Monitor schedules, workforce, equipment, materials, and progress.
• Review drawings and project docs to support successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Make decisions balancing safety, schedules, costs, and commitments.
• Prepare daily reports, timekeeping, and project status updates.
• Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement at all sites.
