Job summary

JLL in Fresno, CA is seeking a Construction Project Manager to independently lead capital and tenant-improvement projects from kickoff to closeout, typically $250K to $1M, with mentorship on larger initiatives. You will develop charters, manage schedules and budgets, procure contractors, communicate with clients, and deliver closeout documents while ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires travel up to 40% within Northern California and on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in project management or construction management
• Experience independently managing small to medium projects ($250K–$1M) with budget/schedule responsibility
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to clients and leadership
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and project scheduling tools such as MS Project/Smartsheet/Procore

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium projects independently from initiation through closeout
• Develop charters, schedules, and work breakdown structures; manage critical path and site visits
• Procure and manage general contractors and vendors; negotiate contracts within authority
• Chair project meetings; manage change orders and stakeholder communications
• Develop and manage budgets; process POs and invoices; prepare monthly reports and forecasts
• Serve as primary client contact; provide status reports and solutions while upholding standards
• Maintain organized project files and ensure compliance with standards and codes
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments
• Engage in coaching with senior PMs and mentor junior team members
