Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Construction Project Manager to independently run small to mid-size capital and tenant improvement projects in Northern California. You will lead scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction from initiation through closeout, with up to 40% travel and remote collaboration as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years of PM/CM experience, strong financial acumen, and proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in project management, construction management, or owner's representation.
• Experience independently managing small to medium-scale projects ($250K–$1M) with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Strong financial acumen including budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to clients and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium-scale projects ($250K–$1M) from initiation through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Support senior project managers on larger regional projects and shadow senior leaders to learn complexities.
• Develop project charters, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
• Manage critical path, perform regular site visits, and deliver closeout packages (as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties).
• Procure and manage general contractors and vendors; negotiate contracts within authority limits.
• Chair project meetings, prepare agendas, drive actions, and manage change orders with stakeholder communication.
• Manage budgets, POs, invoices; prepare monthly financial reports and variance analyses.
