Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Transportation Engineer for a fully remote role. Lead planning, design and analysis of roadways, intersections and transit systems. Work with a dispersed team and deliver high-quality technical outputs from home.

Required 9+ years in transportation engineering, PE registration with ECSA, and strong skills in traffic analysis software and remote collaboration. SANRAL standards knowledge is a plus; salary and benefits are competitive.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Engineering.
Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
9+ years of transportation engineering experience, including planning and design.
Proficiency with traffic analysis software such as VISSIM or SIDRA INTERSECTION.
Strong report writing, presentation and remote communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct traffic analysis, capacity studies and simulation modeling for networks.
Design road alignments, intersection geometries and traffic control systems.
Prepare technical reports, design drawings and project documentation.
Develop and implement traffic management plans for construction projects.
Collaborate with planning teams on long-range transportation master plans.
Engage with clients, stakeholders and regulators via virtual platforms.
Ensure designs meet SANRAL specifications and standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight remotely.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering.
