WhatJobs Direct is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer focused on Transportation Networks to lead design and delivery of highways, urban roads, intersections, and public transport facilities. This remote-first role supports global collaboration with a diverse team, guiding complex projects from concept to construction.

The candidate will manage traffic studies, ITS implementation, and ensure adherence to safety and road standards, while mentoring junior engineers in a fully remote setup.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s in Transportation Engineering preferred.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in transportation engineering and project delivery.
• Proficiency with PTV Vissim, Synchro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and HCS.
• Strong knowledge of traffic modeling, road design standards, and network analysis.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and remote work capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with ITS implementation and traffic signal design is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of transportation infrastructure projects (highways, urban roads, intersections, public transport).
• Conduct traffic studies, demand forecasting, and operational analyses to optimize performance.
• Create design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for roadworks and traffic systems.
• Implement ITS solutions to improve traffic flow and safety.
• Ensure compliance with road standards, geometric design principles, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and government agencies via virtual platforms.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
