Job summary

E Source is seeking a Transmission System Planning Consultant to support power delivery utilities with transmission planning studies and engineering analyses. You will collaborate with project managers, engage directly with clients to set study goals, and lead a team of consultants and engineers to deliver practical, viable results.

The role emphasizes methodical problem-solving, independent work, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred with related experience.
• Strong knowledge of transmission planning concepts and industry standards.
• Experience with PSS/E or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission planning studies including stability, power flow, and reliability analyses.
• Define study goals with clients and develop project methodologies.
• Lead project execution, staffing, deliverables, QA, and schedules.
• Guide a team of engineers toward practical and viable results.
• Develop study reports detailing assumptions and findings.
