Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transmission Planner to join its Energy & Systems Solutions team. The role involves performing transmission planning analyses, mentoring junior staff, and engaging with municipal, investor-owned, and regional planning organizations.

You will contribute to client relationships and expand the Transmission Planning consulting practice. The position requires a solid foundation in power system analysis, familiarity with NERC standards, and the ability to lead projects and present

Qualifications

B.S. Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 2+ years.
Experience in transmission analytics: load flow, stability, protection, and short-circuit studies.
Knowledge of transmission policy and regulatory issues: FERC OATT, NERC standards, LGIP/SGIP.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Willingness to travel to project or client sites.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to growth of Transmission Planning services.
Perform assigned transmission planning analyses under supervision, applying QA/QC and reviewing feedback.
Engage in sales and business development activities.
Apply power system analysis concepts and familiarity with NERC standards.
Contribute to technical writing for proposals and RFIs/RFPs.
Present and participate in industry forums and conferences.
