Job summary

WSB is seeking a Senior Engineer - Transmission Lines to lead detailed engineering design for high-voltage transmission line projects (69-500 kV) in a remote work environment. You will guide junior staff, contribute to design standards, and ensure deliverables meet client, regulatory, and technical requirements.

You bring 7+ years of experience with PLS-CADD and Pole, a PE license is preferred, and you can supervise a team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineering licensure (strongly preferred).
7+ years of experience using PLS-CADD, Pole, etc.
2+ years of experience supervising and mentoring a team of engineers and designers
Some experience using FAD Tools, L-Pile, etc.
Ability to apply client specifications and preferences to all designs.

Responsibilities

Lead design team in completion of detailed phases of engineering.
Guide and answer questions related to detailed engineering calculations for the design of steel, concrete, and wood supporting structures and their foundations.
Provide thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
Manage engineers, drafters, and designers on small to medium sized engineering projects.
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to outline upcoming deliverables and tasks.
Forecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planning.
Maintain project workflow and thorough communication across multi-discipline projects.
