Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Docketing Analyst for a temporary assignment supporting a U.S.-based law firm. This fully remote role requires sitting in the US and focuses on maintaining trademark docket portfolios, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring accurate docketing of domestic and international matters.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IP docketing experience focused on trademarks, with PATTSY expertise and TTAB knowledge. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Intellectual Property docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Strong experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trademark docketing requirements and deadlines.
• Strong experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant to the responsibilities of this role.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to identify discrepancies in docket and bibliographic data and help resolve complex issues.
• Ability to manage a high volume of deadline-sensitive work accurately and independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from USPTO and foreign agencies.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and filing logs.
• Monitor domestic and international trademark deadlines and calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines from USPTO and other sources.
• Maintain docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents in PATTSY and upload to matter records.
• Maintain electronic files through IP management system and iManage integration.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters per procedures.
• Respond to docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits including bibliographic, PTO formality, and U.S. pair inconsistency audits.
• Assist with mass bibliographic data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.
