Job summary

First American is seeking a Title Examiner to join our remote team. You will review titles, analyze records, and identify gaps to support underwriting guidance and title examination workflows.

You will provide feedback to technology teams and help refine test scenarios based on real-world practices. The role requires multistate title experience, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 2+ years of multistate title examination experience.
• State license(s) if required.
• Detail and quality orientation, analytical review skills.
• Strong communication, customer service orientation, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform title examinations and review chains of title for residential orders.
• Abstract and analyze records to determine ownership and legal descriptions.
• Resolve title issues involving missing or contradictory information.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation using established procedures.
• Test title-related tools and platforms across workflows.
