Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking an experienced Legal & Title Analyst to support utility-scale renewable energy projects through title review, survey review, and coordination with multiple teams. This contract role emphasizes meticulous document analysis and proactive communication with title companies and stakeholders.

The position requires five years of experience in real estate documentation, ALTA surveys, and strong Excel skills. Remote in the US; six-month duration; hourly pay $55–$70.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum five (5) years reviewing title commitments and related land documents for energy projects.
• Experience coordinating with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and consultants.
• Ability to analyze title exceptions, mortgage restrictions, easement requirements, curative solutions.
• Experience reviewing ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and interpreting legal descriptions.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel for tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review title commitments, proformas, site control instruments, and related land documents for utility-scale energy projects.
• Populate and maintain ENGIE's Title Review spreadsheet with title requirements and tracking.
• Prepare Title Status Reports summarizing findings, risks, and financing considerations.
• Coordinate with title companies and provide redline comments for ENGIE's policies.
• Review ALTA/NSPS surveys to verify compliance with investor and lender requirements.
• Evaluate easements, utility corridors, and site access rights for constructability.
• Coordinate approved title curative actions with landowners, utilities, and lenders.
• Attend project meetings and provide bi-weekly written status updates.
