Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Threat Detection Engineer to strengthen cybersecurity posture through development of detection capabilities, security monitoring, threat hunting, and audit readiness initiatives. This remote EST role blends hands-on security engineering with governance, risk, and compliance activities.

You will design and maintain detection across enterprise environments, tune SIEM rules, conduct proactive threat hunting, and collaborate with SOC, IR, Infrastructure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of hands-on threat detection engineering experience.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms (MS Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or Elastic).
• Experience scripting (PowerShell or Python) and building detection content.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring across enterprise environments.
• Tune SIEM use cases, detection rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct threat hunting, security investigations, and event analysis.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams.
• Support audits with evidence, documentation, and responses to audit requests.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to measure detection effectiveness and compliance readiness.
