Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on detection engineering experience with SIEM rules at scale and scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• 5+ years in threat detection, security operations, incident response, compliance, audit, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk ES, QRadar, or Elastic Security.
• Experience developing and maintaining detection rules, alerting strategies, and security monitoring processes.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience supporting audits and responding to auditor requests.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and control standards.
• Experience investigating security events, analyzing logs, and identifying threats across enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of network, endpoint, and cloud security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, detection rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and security investigations.
• Partner with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve coverage.
• Support audits by providing evidence, documentation, and responses to requests.
• Evaluate controls and recommend enhancements for compliance and risk reduction.
• Assess monitoring practices against regulatory requirements and standards.
• Analyze logs and telemetry from network, endpoint, cloud, and apps.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure detection effectiveness and readiness.
• Automate monitoring and reporting processes via scripting.
• Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of controls, monitoring processes, and artifacts.
