Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on threat detection engineering.
• Experience with SIEM at scale and scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with listed SIEM platforms (MS Sentinel, Splunk ES, QRadar, Elastic).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in incident response and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain threat detection and monitoring capabilities across enterprise environments.
• Develop, tune, and optimize SIEM use cases, detection rules, alerts, and correlation logic.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting, security investigations, and event analysis.
• Partner with Security Operations, Incident Response, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams to improve detection coverage.
• Support internal and external audits by providing evidence and documentation.
• Evaluate security controls and recommend enhancements to improve compliance and risk reduction.
• Align monitoring practices to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Analyze security logs and telemetry across network, endpoint, cloud, and applications.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to measure detection effectiveness.
• Automate monitoring, investigation, and reporting through scripting and workflows.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation of controls, monitoring processes, and audit artifacts.
