iHealth is seeking a Therapy Intake & Referral Specialist to coordinate all aspects of patient onboarding, including referrals, registration, and scheduling. This hybrid role involves inbound calls and referrals, with workload managed by the supervisor to meet coverage needs.

The position emphasizes high-quality customer service, timely access to care, and collaboration with patients, providers, and internal teams to ensure a smooth therapy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting involving patient intake, referral coordination, or scheduling preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR and practice management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients via inbound/outbound calls, text, and other channels.
• Coordinate patient intake, registration, referrals, and scheduling within the practice management system.
• Maintain accurate patient accounts with up-to-date demographics, insurance, and referrals.
• Schedule new and existing appointments according to guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate appointment details, check-in requirements, directions, and financial responsibilities to patients.
