Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Test Engineering Associate to support automation-first QA activities on a government program. You will develop automated tests, support test documentation, and contribute to a high-quality deployment pipeline while working under guidance from senior QA engineers.

The role requires foundational test automation knowledge, Agile experience, and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. This position is remote and part of a broader QA team driving rigorous quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Foundational understanding of test automation and scripting in at least one framework/language.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps principles.
• Basic experience with JIRA and defect tracking.
• Understanding of the software testing lifecycle including unit, integration, and regression testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support the Government-managed DevSecOps pipeline and sprint goals.
• Contribute to Test-Driven Development and write test cases before coding.
• Track defects in JIRA and assist with weekly escalation reporting.
• Perform accessibility testing and participate in performance/testing activities as needed.
• Document test activities, results, and conformance artifacts.
